BABFT supports PC, mobile, and Xbox. Building and sailing use different control schemes. Mastering the Building Tool settings saves hours of frustration.

Building Tool (all platforms)

• Place / Delete: primary tools in your hotbar for adding and removing blocks.
• Anchor mode: when enabled (default), placed blocks stay fixed against physics.
• Move grid: adjust snap from 1 stud down to free placement (0).
• Rotation increment: cycle 90°, 45°, 15°, 5°, or 1° with T/R on PC or on-screen buttons on mobile.
• Speed Build (mobile only): lightning button skips placement preview for faster building.

Pilot Seat & Car Seat

Pilot Seats control Jet Turbines, wheels, pistons, and servos via binding. W/S adjust pitch; A/D yaw. Car Seats share driving controls but lack direct turbine pitch. Always place a seat before launching—without one you cannot steer or survive long voyages.

Your first runs should prioritize distance over aesthetics. Gold scales with how many stage black walls you pass, so a ugly durable raft beats a beautiful fragile yacht.

First boat checklist

1. Lay a wide base with Wood or stronger material blocks—surface area absorbs hits.
2. Build a solid core using Stone or Metal in the center column.
3. Add a Car Seat or Pilot Seat near the center of mass.
4. Attach a Motor or basic thrust at the rear, aligned forward.
5. Enable anchor while building; disable only for hinged or moving parts.
6. Press Launch only when the boat is fully within your plot bounds.

Early quests worth doing

Complete the Soccer Ball Quest first for easy gold and blocks. Then Find Me for more rewards—many gold-farming glitches need a Hinge from the shop (50 Gold after Soccer). These quests teach menu navigation and flight basics.

Gold is BABFT's main currency. You start with 10 Gold. Earnings depend on how many fully loaded stages you clear—each black wall at a stage end counts—and whether you reach the Treasure chest.

How gold is calculated

• Base: 8 Gold per stage cleared (10 with Member perk, 16 with Gold Multiplier gamepass, 18 with both).
• Treasure bonus: +25 Gold (32 / 50 / 57 with perks as above).
• Maximum single run: about 237 Gold with optimal stage routing and both multipliers.
• Critical rule: you must pass each stage's black wall. Skipping to the chest without clearing walls kills you with no payout.

AFK grinder types

• Drop grinders: portal loops drop you into water for passive small gold—simplest starter farm.
• Bridge grinders: conveyor bridges chained across stages for mid-game income.
• Treasure portal grinders: end runs on the chest for higher per-cycle payouts and Gold Blocks.

Spend gold on higher-tier chests (Legendary, etc.) for Titanium and Obsidian-class blocks. The Plane Pack (4000 Gold) unlocks advanced flight glitches for experienced grinders.

Blocks fall into material blocks (structure), ability blocks (motors, seats, turbines), weapons, and special event items. Chest openings and the shop rotation determine what you can craft.

Material tier priorities

• Early game: Wood and Plastic for sacrificial armor layers.
• Mid game: Stone and Metal cores; begin saving for Vehicle or Plane packs.
• Late game: Titanium, Obsidian, and event blocks for competitive stage clears and grinders.

High-value ability blocks

• Jet Turbine + Pilot Seat: meta for flight and magnet glitches.
• Motor / Sonic Jet variants: speed farming and bridge setups.
• Portal Block: AFK and teleport grinder backbone.
• Hinge + Glue: entry-level UFO fly glitch components.
• Binding Tool: links controls to complex contraptions.

The shop's daily rotation sells quantity bundles (Wedge, I-Beam, Torch, etc.) for gold. Check rotation before bulk buying—prices beat random chest gambling for specific shapes.

Stage flow

1. Launch from your building plot into the river.
